The University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design has a global reach. Our Alumni can engage with students and other alumni to help the next generation of leaders forge their career paths. Here are a few ways you can get involved with supporting Career Services and Professional Development at the Weitzman School.

Notify us when you have an internship or job opening. We encourage employers to post opportunities on Handshake, which is a database that connects Penn Students to jobs and internships. Here are some helpful links to connect with this useful tool:

Short-Term Externships. Would you or your firm be interested in hosting a student for a weeklong externship during winter break in January, spring break in March or any other time? Externships are designed to pair students with a mentor or mentors who can offer hands-on design experience and skill building opportunities.

Firm Visits. We are actively seeking firms interested in hosting 10–15 Weitzman students for a brief tour and Q&A session, typically visits last 90 minutes.

Portfolio Reviews. Each year in January or February the Alumni Association hosts a portfolio review for all current students. We encourage alumni to volunteer as reviewers.

Panel Discussions. We are always looking for alumni to participate in professional development panel discussions focusing on a range of topics.

Career Fairs. Each year in February or March Penn Career Services hosts the annual Weitzman Career Fair. Find out more information here.
